Taking the TernX Carry Backpack on our 2-Week Long RoadTrip

I had the opportunity to try the TernX Carry Backpack for our road trip to BC this summer. We love to travel and it’s a huge part of our lives, so when we had kids we knew that it wasn’t something we were going to just give up.

The day before we left, my TernX backpack came in the mail. So on the morning that we left, I unpacked my current diaper bag and repacked all of our things into the new bag. Since we were going on a 2-week long vacation, I had a lot to bring.

My girls (aged 2 & 10 months at the time) share the same diaper size, so thankfully I didn’t need to pack different diaper size along with 10 million other things. However, I was able to fit an entire half-sleeve of diapers into the bottom of the back. The TernX diaper bag has 2 openings for the large section - one in the middle like normal, but one opening right at the back so that when laid down, the backpack is similar to a luggage. It makes packing it so easy and convenient.

The diaper bag itself is very lightweight, so I was worried about durability and quality, but it exceeded my initial expectations. The diaper bag comes with a small bag inside that can hold a few diapers, diaper cream, and wipes. It’s so convenient when you have to do diaper changes in public restrooms and you don’t want to bring your entire bag inside. It’s also helpful if you have 2 kids in diapers (us) and you have to divide and conquer. My husband took the diaper bag and one daughter while I took the ‘pouch’ and our other daughter so we could maximize our efficiency.

Since we were on our trip for 2 weeks (5 days of those being camping in a tent), we really packed a lot. I was so happy with this diaper bag and the functionality of it. The TernX diaper bag includes a changing pad inside the bag, so I didn’t have to pack an extra when travelling. I also loved the pouch on the bottom of the bag that zips open to add an extra 5L of space, but the beauty of this pouch, is that it’s waterproof. So if you have dirty clothes, muddy shoes, a leaky water-bottle, or anything that you didn’t want touching the other items of your diaper bag, that space is amazing!

One downside I found was that the straps loosened quite easily, so I would have to re-tighten the bag whenever I put it on, but once it was on, the straps stayed put.
